I suggest reading this before going onto the last book in the series. Not worth having made letters into a book along could have added to one of the regular books.

Want to Read saving…. Bree rediscovered her childhood love for creating stories when she took a semester off college to write and direct plays for at-risk, inner city teens from Philadelphia and New York. This changes on a day to day basis.

I love the ombre fade of the cloth from dark to light, and honestly, I like that there isn’t a model. I felt bad for Gabriel, and what he went throw. Also, it bugged me that the dialog in the letters was “old English” with words like “thou didst this” but the majority was in modern English. First of all, I refuse to call this a novella because it’s barely twenty pages long. The last letter, of course raised some questions for me tho. I mean the event that really brought out the wolf,to me is totally understandable.

That just kind of bugs me. I am so thankful to Bree Despain and everyone who decided to publish this series of letters. I think this looks a lot better than The Savage Grace! It was meant to wet the appetite of readers who hadn’t purchased The Lost Saint. The Lost Saint was an enjoyable tale with strong characters and a deep storyline. We were first introduced to Gabriel in The Dark Divine when Grace recieves a book of ancient letters that Gabriel a young monk at the time wrote to his sister during the Crusades, detailing his search to know more about the Urbat. It focuses solely on Gabriel, how the wolf curse took him over, and his discovery of the moonstones.


I haven’t heard of this series before, but MAN those covers look beautiful!! He was helpless and not strong enough to resist succumbing to the wolf’s heading desires.

As supplemental material to the Dark Divine, these letters give insight into a character who was pivotal to the story without taking attention away from the focus on the main antagonists in The Lost Saint.

I’m not actually giving this book a rating. Maybe I’ll revisit some time in the future. Originally angels blessed with power to fight evil, they succumbed to that power and became cursed. Thank you for hosting this giveaway!

Souders rated it really liked it. I was brre if someone could tell me where I’d be able to purchase this book? I really like the last one, loved how it brought the past to the present. I just finished the last book in the series and was so disappointed that I can’t bring myself to read it. Although I will say, this is my favourite cover of the series.

The Lost Saint by Bree Despain – book review

Up until now, I had connected with Gabriel’s character, but only barely. Eventually, Grace meets Talbot, a hottie Urbat who embraces his darker side and eggs Grace on to do the same. I think some of the surprises I liked most in book 3 would’ve been brorher by this. Nichols rated it liked it.

Very nice companion and filler for the series. I couldn’t quite get past that inconsistency.
